This is unfamiliar! It's been a long time since I made my last attempt at longform blogging, though for much of my adolescence that was what I did. I'm not even writing LJ entries in my head anymore these days, though I have been thinking about what photos to take for this post.

My stuido-mate, the delectable J, started moving in their things a few weeks ago but I, having been beset by post-covid exhaustion, only managed to load up my borrowed handcart yesterday. On the way, I passed a group of what I can only surmise were first semester students engaging in start of the year mayhem, doing a slalom-course on toy cars and playing Yakety Sax on a speaker. What better soundtrack. I might play it on loop next time I move house, and see how many of my friends still love me afterwards.

Today I returned with a few more important things (tea, snacks), and set about attaching things to the wall and unpacking. I even did a bit of art for a second in there.

J, who is beset by a disease of their own (full-time employment) arrived later in the day and acquiesced to my desire to see everything at all times by taking the doors off of two of the cabinets. The place feels more and more useable!

And now, because 2000s nostalgia is the fashion of the age, we are going to adapt a piece of classic LiveJournal styling:

current
mood: frustrated by fatigue
music: "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" – En Vogue
questions:
How tiresome is it going to be to read big blocks of monospace font like this.
